During the COVID-19 pandemic Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust had to work rapidly to adapt exisiting infection control and visiting procedures with the aim to protect the safety of staff and service users.
This urgent change in procedure needed to be communicated clearly and concisely to anyone who visited/worked in our hospitals.
To do so, I created the following suite of materials to demonstrate safety procedures in our hospitals focusing on areas such as handwashing, social distancing and mask wearing.
As all of these changes were unusual and, in cases, physically demanding (e.g. wearing full PPE for 12 hours) I wanted to create the materials in an eye catching yet arresting style demonstrating that these messages should be taken seriously and followed by all.
