Memory Making Leaflet

Client:
Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Project:
*Sensitive content – please note this project focuses on baby loss and miscarriage*

The Memory Making Leaflet was created by the Bereavement Midwifery Team at Gloucestershire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and promotes the services available to families when they experience a late stage baby loss.

Families are offered a free photography service where the baby is photographed in the a variety of different poses (in the mother’s arms, underneath their name spelled out in wooden blocks or wrapped in a blanket) as a keepsake and a special memory of the baby lost. The photography is gifted to the family along with a small box of treasured items for safe keeping.

For this project, I was tasked to create a leaflet that promoted the Memory Making service. I created a suite of simple illustrations which demonstrated how the baby would be photographed and used a gentle, floral style which felt appropriate to the sensitivity of the content.

Wildflower Trail

Client:
Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Project:
The Wildflower Trail, due to be launched in late Spring 2025, is a nature trail that runs around the perimeter of Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. The trail takes around 30 minutes to walk and leads patients and staff on a beautiful floral adventure around the hospital site, encouraging mindfulness and focus on the wonder of the free and vivacious wildflowers planted by the grounds team.

For this project, I was tasked to plot the wildflower trail around the site, create a trail map and design a suite of 33 individualised signs ranging in size from A0 to A4. The client wanted the trail to feel natural, gentle and inspiring, whilst still maintaining the NHS overall look and feel. To accommodate this request I created a bespoke identity for the trail using only NHS blue and white, featuring wildflowers such as red campions and forget-me-nots in an art nouveau style.

As of March 2025, the signs have been printed and the posts created.
*Additional photos will be added to this project once the signs have been erected*

Charity Materials

Client:
Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity

Project:
As part of Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity rebrand, the team needed a new style for their hospital’s charity and a design for their new static Charity POD based in the hospital.

For this project I created two sets of fun illustrations and graphics.

The first set were designed for the lottery and were styled to feel fun, risky and magical. These assets were to be used on social media and posters to promote the lottery offer.

The second set were designed for the Charity POD. The team asked for three options for the POD, the third being a playful and light hearted advertisement of the charity services. These assets were to be printed onto semi transparent vinyl and applied to a clear glass POD.

Whilst I love both of these designs, unfortunately the team decided to go with a less playful route for the POD, however I have included them in this project as they were so much fun to create.

Minchmob

Client:
Minchmob

Project:
MinchMob is a luxury Cotswold based gift company that launched in 2018. The company was created to raise funds for the cows on Minchinhampton Common, who were often hit and killed by road users.

For this project, I was tasked to create a family friendly, fun and whimsical brand that was inspired by cows. The illustrations and branding were used on country inspired mugs and tea towels.
